2020-02-12The art of Koh-do Invitation and program of Japanese traditional art of Koh-do

On 9th and 11th February 2020, Nippon Kodo Co.,Ltd. held Koh ceremony with the cooperation of ESTEBAN and Jissen Woman’s University at ESTEBAN boutique in Paris.

On the day, with Mr. Gyosui Sanjyonishi, head of Kodo Oie-ryu attending, six koh ceremonies were held. Out of more than 300 types of Kumiko, we performed Genjikoh, based on the concept of the Tale of Genji and Karutakoh, on the theme of Hyakunin Isshu (One Hundred Poets, One Poem Each).

The event, which was held six times with about 20 people each time, was full booked every time. The attending French perfumery, cosmetics industry, Japanese culture researchers, and brain scientists showed great interest in Japanese incense culture.
