The Jissen Women's University Japanese Koh-Do (incense ceremony) event will be held in Paris on February 8, 2020 as a cultural project to commemorate the 125th anniversary. Nippon Kodo supports the event.

“The Tale of Genji and Japanese Culture - The World of the Tale of Genji Revived in the Modern Age”
Date: Saturday, 8th February 2020
Location: “Maison de la culture du Japon à Paris”

Together with sado (tea ceremony) and Kado (flower arrangement), Kodo (incense ceremony) ranks as one of the classic arts of Japan cultivated by members of the aristocracy as a refined hobby.

Mr. Sanjyonishi, a head of the Oieryu School of Koh-do, will present Koh-do, an aspect of traditional Japanese culture that is based on aroma.

In addition, Japanese Koh-Do (incense ceremony) organized by Nippon Kodo will be held at Nippon Kodo on February 9 and 11 for two days.
