30th January 2019 Japanese Kodo event will be held at rietberg museum in Swiss.
Together with sado (tea ceremony) and Kado (flower arrangement), Kodo (incense ceremony) ranks as one of the classic arts of Japan cultivated by members of the aristocracy as a refined hobby.
The two Kodo ceremonial masters Yoko Obata and Junko Maruyama introduce participants to the traditional art of incense burning and the enjoyment of precious scented woods.
Recognizing and memorizing different scents is believed to strengthen the mind and well-being.
