Nippon Kodo demonstrated a Koh ceremony in Urbana, Illinois. 

On April 12th, Nippon Kodo held a demonstration of a Koh (incense) ceremony at the University of Illinois’ Japan House in Urbana, Illinois. The master teacher that demonstrated this ceremony was Gyosetsu Maruyama who flew in from Japan for this event. The ceremony was demonstrated twice which brought in close to 300 spectators. The success of this event showed just how much interest people have in the Japanese culture. After the Koh ceremony was demonstrated on stage, there were also incense burners being passed around for people to experience and listen to the incense.
