The LOHAS 10 Forum
was held in Santa Monica, CA. (April 27-28, 2006) |
|
As it reflects the increasing social interest to LOHAS, 620 business people
attended LOHAS 10 Forum. ( Last year, LOHAS 9 had 480 participants.)
LOHAS, Lifestyles of Health and Sustainability, is a newly advocated concept
in 1998 by sociologist Paul Rey. It based on a longtime research, which
conducted an emergence of new market by a group of educated consumers,
who has cultural creativeness. This market includes some characteristic
segments, such as Healthy Lifestyles, Ecological Lifestyles, Alternative
Healthcare and Personal Development, etc. Sounds familiar ?
Right, because they are widely overlapping with Nippon Kodo's high quality
Japanese incense users' aspects. At our booth, many visitors were enjoying
and appreciating with fragrance of Nippon Kodo products for relaxation.
Also we were pleased, too. Since this LOHAS 10 endorsed a trend of market,
as our incense is favored more and more by the people who is looking for
mental and spiritual remedy for fulfilled healthy, balanced life. |

At Nippon Kodo's booth, we presented a wide variety of products, such as
Naturense, a series of incense sticks, which is using natural materials only,
then packed in a recycled paper box. Kayuragi, another product line has eight fragrances in color coordinated boxes. Each box is made of
Paulownia wood and durable recycled-paper sleeve, useful as a container
after all of incense sticks were used.
As a first time exhibitor at LOHAS 10, it was a wonderful experience for us.
We received high appreciation and recognition from many participants.
At the same time, we noticed what big expectations people has with our
incense! We are selling our own Japanese incense for the last 40 years in
the United States, and we are trying harder to reciprocate for those expects. |
